We had our windows installed and they were fast and did a great job. There was follow up on a regular basis and when we needed the big windows in the front done they were very helpful in getting the right size and installed. We have nothing but great things to say about American Home Design. We had 1 window crack at the corner and call AHD and they had another one ordered and replaced in a very short time.
Because of the pandemic, we were told that there may be a delay in getting the windows in stock. After waiting several months and checking with the company periodically, we discovered that the service manager had left the company. The new manager told us in late January that the windows were in and that they can be installed on February 15, 2022. In the meantime, two other windows started having the same leakage problem so they agreed to inspect them when they came for the installation. Today, February 15, 2022, the technician appears at our door without the windows and informs us that he just came to inspect the other windows.

The shower is good but the toilet was not installed right and leaked. Everything was good at first but a smell started and after awhile we discovered the toilet had been leaking and the subfloor was soaking it up. We called the company And after a month they came out and put a new ring on and then tightened the toilet. They said they would come back out to replace it. It took two months and someone finally came out but the floor had dried and there was mold. The contractor sanded the mold and painted the floor from underneath and said that was authorized.

My sales rep was informative, gracious, and helpful. The installers did everything in a timely fashion and completed it in one day. He said call if the smell was still there after two days the smell Came back we called several times and kept getting the run around talking to several people and no one has come out. At this point we are trying to get the money together to fix it since we have lost faith in the warranty they promised. We would prefer American home design pay a third party agreed to by us to fix the damages to out house.
We need answers and hoping that the BBB can help. We had quite a back and forth between the salesman and his boss. They were not able to do all the work we wanted for our bathroom remodel, so we scaled down what we wanted and got a quote around $23,000. We declined that and were contacted by the supervisor a day or two later who said he could lower the cost to $14,000. I've simplified the back and forth by cutting out a bunch of phone calls and 4 home visits for pictures and measurements.

After talking to our salesman we did not get the other two quotes. The speed of construction, lifetime warranty and how easy to open or remove windows sold us. There was a slight wait time till our project was able to begin but the installer showed up on a Monday with one helper, worked Mon. The electrician came Monday and got it wired then just waited on the state inspector. So after a week of work we had our 12x20 sunroom.
